The PLAY String Quartet is made up of wonderfully talented, young professional musicians in Cape Town! Our boutique ensemble has been performing together for the last seven years and boasts with the largest repertoire of contemporary pop songs in South Africa!

As individual players we perform on various classical and popular music platforms and ensembles – including with the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra, Stellenbosch University, Cape Town University, private celebrity concerts including, Michael Bublé, Afrikaans is Groot, various other bands, and festivals around South African. As a quartet we mostly perform at weddings and corporate events.

Our string trio & quartet perform all levels of classical music, wedding music, jazz standards and tangos and a huge selection of contemporary pop string arrangements including artists such as Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, American Authors, U2, The Beatles, Lana Del Ray, Jason Mraz, Bruno Mars and many more.

We are inspired, professional and provide superb live music.
