Cape Town based Quintet influenced by the music of Miles Davis, Radiohead, Massive Attack, Restless Natives and Closet Snare.

As one of the most recognized names in the local SA Music Scene, Lee Thompson has unleashed his project of Uber-Talented Young Jazz Talents with his self-titled group, The Lee Thompson Quartet. The multi-talented Thompson Quartet boasts a number of well-recognized Jazz artists.

Their versatility allows for cool & mellow sets as well as more upbeat funky sets with or without a vocalist.

Lee is one of Cape Town’s most in demand musicians and has been associated with Top South African acts. He performed with the Springbok Nude Girls for 3 years and has performed as a guest with Freshlyground, the Violent Femmes and The Rudimentals. He has also recorded with Goldfish and Mix n Blend.
